Finally got off the old exhaust plate and replaced with a very nice chrome billet one that I got at a good discount at West Coast Corvettes. Shipping was VERY fast. That old plate was on there good! Had to douse it in alcohol and saw the hell out of the 3M tape to get her off. Took nearly an hour of breaking fishing line and sawing again and again. Stuck on the side markers, too. I think they look classy on pewter vettes with chrome wheels, IMHO. Sorry about the dirty floor. The exhaust plate reflects it perfectly and makes the plate look dirty!
NOW, ANY THOUGHTS ON HOW I CAN LEVEL OFF MY BORLA QUAD STINGER TIPS? THEY SEEM TO SAG ON THE ENDS...
Nice exhaust plate and the side markers do look nice on Pewter. Contact Borla and see if they have any suggestions or will replace them. I've seen that before.
Could never figure out those stinger tips. I just kept tightening and they kept moving. So I pulled the tips off and stuck them in tighter and then tightened the clamps real good and they stayed.
Now the more I look at that backup light plate, the more I'm thinking I need to go with the aftermarket one, the diamond jewel thing by Adjure. My buddy has one on his Zo6 and it looks great, not to mention throwing out a hell of a lot more light...
