Eckler's is showing LED tail light bulb replacements, which at 15.99@ seem a lot more economical than a full conversion of the tail lights themselves. Has anyone tried these? Any problems experienced?
without a load resistor or LED flasher you are sure to get hyperflash by just changing the bulbs for LED replacements.
I have not tried these, but in almost all cases direct swap LED replacement bulbs don't put out as much light as filament bulbs. the only way to get good light output is to do a tail light housing replacement such as installing halos, they are actually brighter than the stock lights. I'm curious to see how much light they would put out, if you decided to go with them post some pics!

A friend of mine tried just replacing the stock bulb on his c4 with an LED bulb. It actually was dimmer than the stock bulb and did not difuse the light properly. I tried to tell him not to waste his money, but he wanted to try it.
Save your money, do it right the first time and go with the full led halo tails.
