Default Finally got my C5!

After almost 2 years of waiting patiently I finally have a C5 in the garage. I moved to a new state, had to buy a house and get a new job and all that good stuff but with all that taken care of it was finally time! I found her here on the forum and flew to NH on Monday to pick her up from Matt (forum member my 00 vette). Matt was great to do business with and I could tell he is really going to miss his car. You have to feel good buying a car from someone with a carpeted garage. He threw in a lot of extra stuff like a car cover, bra, new directionals still in the box, intake cover, a small air compressor to go in the car and a ton of other goodies.
The drive home took me about 12 hours but I had a huge smile on my face the whole way. I only saw one other Vette across the highway but I did wave at it. The worst part was leaving her in the parking lot at the hotel over night, I only slept 1 hour at a time and then would wake up in a sweat and have to check on her. But she survived unscathed!

In case you're wondering, she is a 2000 A4 (I have a bad leg so can't clutch a lot) with 23,000 miles. Cam, heads, LS6 intake, Vararam, LG Street lt's w/ highflo cats and Ti exhaust, Z06 rear end, Z06 sway bars, Bilstien shocks, Built trans, and a bunch of other stuff. Dyno sheet says 404hp, 353 torque. Here are some obligatory pics that I took near the Chesapeake bay on the way home, I plan to take some better ones as soon as the weather is better and will post those as well.

I want to thank everyone on this forum for being so helpful and supportive not to just me but to everyone, it's really like a great big family here except better because my mooch brother in law isn't here.

Wow, that's quite a nice car you bought there! Best of luck, and don't let your mooch BIL drive it - tell him to get his own like mine did! (except mine's cool and not a mooch at all!)

I got a trip permit from the VA DMV that I taped on the back window, never got pulled over but 2 MA Troopers did come up on me real fast and then hovered by the back for a minute and then took off so they were either looking at my trip permit or admiring my big butt, not sure which.

Congrats on the new ride. I feel your pain having to park it.
It won't be long until the mod bug will hit you real hard.
All I can say is enjoy and share the wave.
