the SSR's had the LS1. i dont believe they lasted long enough for the LS2
GTO's had the LS1 until the LS2 came out then it got the LS2

Glad to see this,,,I knew SOME of that,,,gut often get confused by some of them!! LS 1 for C5 but LS 2 & 3= C6 but the LS 6 is C5 but LS 7 is C6 
When you are still somewhat of a noob the the late models the jumping back and forth can get a little confusing till you get the association with base and Z06 straight,,,Think I got it now!! Now I just ignore the iron block motors that I read about in Car Craft and Chevy High Performance(I'm a bit of a hot rodder at heart,and use more of their info for my shark than the vet mags)
