cts-v also had the ls6 in 2004 and 2005. 2006 onward had the ls2. It has a different engine now. I think all this is right.

the LS1 in the camaro/trans am's came only in around 325 hp. dont really know y but my neighbor has an ss camaro and he said it only came with 325

the SSR's had the LS1. i dont believe they lasted long enough for the LS2
GTO's had the LS1 until the LS2 came out then it got the LS2

Glad to see this,,,I knew SOME of that,,,gut often get confused by some of them!! LS 1 for C5 but LS 2 & 3= C6 but the LS 6 is C5 but LS 7 is C6 When you are still somewhat of a noob the the late models the jumping back and forth can get a little confusing till you get the association with base and Z06 straight,,,Think I got it now!! Now I just ignore the iron block motors that I read about in Car Craft and Chevy High Performance(I'm a bit of a hot rodder at heart, and use more of their info for my shark than the vet mags)

LOL I know right. Actually I believe the first publications posted the hp as 620. Then when the car actually came out it was 638.

It's 436 with the optional exhaust. 430 without.
