Default Taillight screws?

I have a flush mount kit on my car now and want to go back to regular mount. I need to know what's the stock size and length screw so I can go buy them! Thanks in advance!

What kind of screws do you have with that flush mount kit? Are they black ones?

I made my own flush mount kit, but could only find silver screws. I couldn't find longer black ones. If yours are black, perhaps we can work out a trade? I saved my stock black screws, which it sounds to me is what you are looking for. I'll have to double-check that I have them, but I'm sure they are in my drawer in the garage.

go stainless. And for added fun, get the matching stainless #6 finishing washers (#8 won't fit in the tail light holes)

I remember them being Torx head. I suggest you visit ur GM parts counter for replacement screws.

Looks like Chip has the answer.

But just an FYI, I get all my auto screws and bolts at Lowes. They have a really good misc/auto screw and bolt center. I had to buy new hex-key head mounting bolts for my stock throttle body and new mounting screws for my stock shifter and they were exactly on. They even have a little template to find out exactly what thread your screws are and different sizes.

This WAS true....GM now uses phillips heads. I tried to get them from the dealership AND from Gene both were phillips. The GM screws head is difficult to get a good bite on with the screwdriver and requires some un-easy pushing. The stainless screws have a deeper cut and are easier to install/remove.

Just remove the flushmount spacers. The screw holes are bottomless if I remember correctly so the longer screws should work!
