Your logic is assuming that 4.5% of TR interiors are spread equally throughout ALL body colors available, which isn't true. Some colors didn't allow a TR interior. So, there will be closer to 0% TR interiors for something like DBGM and considerably more than 4.5% for white cars (might be closer to 25-40%).
There's no way to tell exactly how many white cars have a TR interior from these numbers.
So true,
I never looked at it like that.
But i do love the DBGM corvette's, I think all the green corvette's looked good.

You are exactly right that we can't tell how many white cars with Torch Red interior were manufactured since GM did not keep such records. That is why I extrapolated! However, since they didn't keep them, who is to say if you are right or I am right? I will grant you that some exterior colors probably didn't get ordered with Torch Red interiors as others but there is no way of knowing which got what. I'm sure that Arctic White with Torch Red is much more common than say Electron Blue with Torch Red or Millennium Yellow with Torch Red but then again there is no proof in print from General Motors. No matter how you slice it, Arctic White Corvettes with Torch Red interiors are rare and beautiful.
This is the info i've been looking for! If GM didn't keep record of ext/int combos, I can stop looking for the info! Thanks guys.
That is as far as we know based on what they tell us. I suspect they do keep such records but don't want to spend an inordinate amount of time answering questions from those of us who would like to know. Too bad!
WildTurkey, first off, nice screen name. I prefer, 101! Second, more info on the seat covers, please.
Hey Capn - they are Wet Okole covers. Tough to put on, but very comfortable. I've had mine for almost 9 years....starting to fade, but a great product overall....I would recommend them.

I have been to a lot of car shows and I have seen a lot of white Vettes with TR interior, There are more than you might think. I wouldn't call them rare at all. There are a lot of other color Vettes with a lot less numbers of combos.

I knew when I read this quote that you didn't have an Arctic White Corvette with Torch Red interior. I ordered my car and had to wait four months to get it. Part of the delay was due to waiting for enough orders for Arctic White cars to accumulate since they order their paint at the factory in such large bulk. So, that alone indicates to me that any Arctic White 2004 is fairly rare. The percentage of 2004s ordered that way was only around 5%. So, I consider that fairly rare. Additionally, I got so tired of waiting for my car to arrive that I started going on www.gmbuypower.com every day to try to find another car similar to mine. In two months of looking daily, you know how many I found? One! And it still had a couple of differences that I didn't like so I decided to wait mine out. The day that I took delivery of my car, a salesman who was outside when I first looked at it told me that was the first C5 he had seen that was white with red interior (and he loved it.) There may be lots of color combos with lower numbers as you infer. I'm not denying that at all. I remember seeing a new Corvette in 1974 at the same dealership where I bought my car that was brown with silver interior. Now, that's rare for sure. But damn ugly! I have seen a lot of color combos that are rare which I won't mention now but they are not desirable. I keep saying in all my posts that Arctic White with Torch Red interior is rare AND beautiful. I realize that is my opinion but I have never heard anyone say they thought it was damn ugly. I usually take my car to the Charlotte AutoFair at Lowe's Motor Speedway twice a year and, invariably, people will say they have never seen a newer Corvette in that color combo. So, I don't know about your part of the country but around here, Arctic White with Torch Red is still rare and still beautiful!

I was just giving my opinion, I have been to a lot of car shows and have seen a lot of different colors and interior combos, Hey as long as you think it is rare that is all that matters. What does it have to do with what color I have? lol
I been to Concord, NC (Lowes) a number of times, Maybe I might have a picture or 2 of your rare Vette.
