I purchased my first corvette a couple of months ago; an '04 "Spiral Grey" coupe. It has all of the great stuff I was looking for including the touring/sport suspension package, memory package, two tops and high polished aluminum wheels.
Have you any tips on polishing these beauties? I've had polished wheels before and used the canned wading. Since these corvette wheels have a chrome-like appearence I have concerns about polishing them the same as I have polished my American Racing wheels.

you'd need to learn if they're clear-coated....if they are its just like paint, clean and wax ... if not its polish, polish, polish. (actually like this look much better. )
I think they have a clear coat protective finish on them so you can only wash and wax them unless you go through the process of removing the protective finish. I've read that is a LOT of work and then you have to stay on top of the polish look......
If they are OE hi polish wheels they are clear coated. You do not want to use metal polish on them. Soap and water only. Follow up with a good wax for long term protection. Mine is a weekend driver so I also use detail spray and a soft towel to wipe the brake dust off after every few trips. My wheels still look new after 6 years. Good luck with it.
