I've been lurking for a while as I may soon get into a C5. I have a question:
As happens with the C4's, many C5's I have looked at show wear on the driver's side left bolster, as well as on the seat cushion, while the passenger side seat looks brand new.
On C4's it is very easy to switch the cushions (back and seat) and nearly double the life of the seats (I have 120K on mine and they look quite new having done the switch at about 90K). Can you do something similar on the C5's? (I did a search and could find nothing).

I believe you can switch them, but on the lower seat cover, the seat adjuster area is on the opposite sides of the seats. If you move the passenger side over to the driver's side, you will need to cut the left side of the side cover to allow the lever/power controls to connect. Hope that made sense.
The stock C5 upholstery for the seat back has a cloth insert next to the console. If you swap the seat back upholstery the cloth insert will be facing to the outside. The C5 upholstery is harder to switch than the C4 stuff. You have to remove the fabric and then the foam and then reinstall on the other side. To do this you have to remove the seat from the car since you need to get to the bottom of the seat to remove hog rings and ties.
