My last car was a full STU Prep Solo II 2006 Subaru STi. My wife lost control on course and totaled the car in April. I bought a Camaro SS in the meantime and it was no sustitute for what I wanted. 
My son is 12 and he races go karts with our autocross club. He placed 9th in PAX this year out of 220 drivers. He gets his first shot at a rallycross event in a real car on December 7th. He was very stoked last weekend when he got to drive the "rally car" for the event as he had never driven a car let alone a stick. He did great and the dirt is more forgiving to learn the stick. Hanging it out in the turns and braking HARD. I think he will do well. I will be his in car coach for this event.
