6.99 a qt for Mobil 1 at auto zone.
If you are going to run the car really hard I would use RP.
If not stick with M1.
Also this is covered all the time, Search is your friend.

I agree, no one should ask a question like this until they have searched. This stuff gets old.
Well people are always gonna be new and this question will always be asked. They are both good. They both meet the Corvette requirement. You will see slightly cooler oil temps with royal purple. You cant go wrong with either one. Usually Mobil 1 is cheaper but if they are the same where you are get royal purple.
my engine builder recommends and uses regular old conventional 15/40 in his 2500hp sbc...
I'd find a new engine builder.
Royal Purple is better oil, but in my opinion is not worth the difference in cost for a street car. In my area RP is about $2 to $2.50 a qt more. If for some reason they were the same price I'd buy the RP.

The list includes
Forumla Shell fully synthetic
Pennzoil Platinum
Quaker State HorsePower
Castrol Syntec
Mobil 1
All the above (except Shell) available for well under $6/qt at Wallmart
With the hugh profits posted by mobil/exxon i try to not buy any of their products.I use sunoco fuel and when its time to change the oil it will be one of the other reccommended oils not mobil1.I think mobil/exxon are a bunch of crooks.
