Default High oil pressure?

I noticed that in the last few days the oil pressure on my z06 seems to be a bit higher than usual. At idle it's about the same, but when driving just seems higher than usual. For example, 60mph in 4th gear, it's between 50 and 60. 60mph in 3rd gear for a short sprint up to, say, 6k rpm, and it goes between 60 and 70.

Seems higher than normal?

FWIW, oil life indicator tells me there's only ~20% life remaining (no sense changing it when it's going to snow shortly).

Is this something I should worry about, or more likely a combination of the weather (been below freezing recently) and the fact I need to change teh oil because it's becoming thicker and filled with contaminents?

I've noticed that behavior with mine too, right up until I parked it last month for the winter. THe last few times I drove it, the temperatures were in the teens. I just wrote it off as a function of the colder weather causing the oil to be a little thicker. If there's a different reason for this, I'd love to hear it!

The minimum standard for oil pressure is 10psi per 1krpm, so 60-70 at 6k is good.

Sounds normal, prolly just noticing oil pressure higher due to cold outside. When it get colder oil gets thicker = higher pressure.

I just picked up the car from the dealer. My oil pressure is unusually high if I compare it to what I "remember". With the engine at operating temperature, WOT, shifting around 6500 rpm I see 90PSI. I called the dealer... of course he has no clue. Temperature outside is relatively cold (56F) but in my mind not cold enough to justify the number. At idle it seems to be around 50-60 PSI.
Oil level seems ok.

Does anyone have ideas?

You say the engine is at operating temperature, but what is the oil temperature? You need to be comparing pressures at known oil temperatures.
With the oil up to temperature, say above 160 deg, the pressure at idle should have dropped back down to around 30-35 Psi.

i have a high oil pressure reading in my '02 Z06... recently purchased it and oil pressure at idle reads 128psi.

any clues on why it would be so far out of spec? also started leaking oil from either rear main seal or something in that area... leaves a nice puddle

it also seems to want to run hot if it's just sitting there idling... 220 to 230+ and when it gets hot on the gauge i can smell the coolant.

does squeak alot from the belt/tensioner... was thinking about replacing both of those bits.

fuel door release button doesn't work and seems to be pudhed into the trim area further, HVAC controls have been punched in either through reverse shift attempt or some sort of speed shifting mishap... is far from perfect but far from terrible
