Rattle in mirror ?
I thought I had a mysterious rattle coming from my center dash area. It made me crazy. For some reason while enduring one of these rattles, I adjusted the rear view mirror. Rattle stopped. I let it go, rattle back. Grabbed mirror, well ,you get the picture.
Any other 2001 C-5 convertible owners seen this ?
Is there a place I can tighten the mirror back into itself ? Joe

Do you have the electronic dimming mirror or the base mirror? The base mirror may come loose where it is mounted to the windshield. You can tighten it with a small torx bit. The dimming mirror cannot be tightened the same way.

Thanks Bill. I have the dimming mirror. The mirror appears to be in a "front" half and a "back" half. I can squeeze the two halves together and the rattle goes away. Is there any tightening available there ? Joe
