Tire Markup

I have an opportunity to buy tires at 10% over dealer cost. Does anyone know what's the typical markup on tires?

Why not take that price and see what your local shops sell the same tire for. Would give you some sort of an idea on the price difference.

I managed a repair shop for a few years while paying my way through college. I got to see the manifest sheets on all of our tire deliveries and it varied drastically by brand. The private labels stuff was usually marked up a few bucks and major labels were sometimes way marked up.

Depends on the cost of the tire, and brand....but 10% above cost would pretty much always be considered a good deal, unless you were buying mining tires....
