Farewell C5 General
It will be hard, but I am confident I'll own a Corvette again someday. By the time I have enough money for one, they will be producing C8's
Ok maybe not, but it'll be a while.I'd like to thank you all for the support, advice, information, SWEET deals, good times, and a lifetime of memories. I'll miss you all
I may visit the site from time to time, just to pop my head in. And I'm sure I'll be looking for tickets to Sebring next year, or Laguna Seca in October.
Fare thee well C5 General!

Sincerely,
Reid Erickson A.K.A. The California Kid

‘Every Day’
“We are at the bargaining table every day working on things to make these companies, to put them in better shape if you will,” Gettelfinger said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt.” “Other people need to come in to see what they can do to assist these companies.”
The union agreed last year that new hires would have hourly pay and benefits reduced to about $26 from about $78 and wouldn’t be eligible for fixed-benefit pensions. The 2007 accords also call for creating the union-managed trusts that will take over retiree health-care obligations starting in 2010.
According to my math that would make the average (existing) workers at GM and the other U.S. Carmakers making around $12,480 per month or $149,760.00.
