Seat Adjustments- 2004 Corvette

I feel like such a dummy, however, not afraid to ask for help. In other words, if you don't know something better ask someone that does:

Problem - Is there an easy way to adjust the driver side seat where it will retain all settings once you get it adjusted. Read the manual but still having a problem with the seat returning to adjusted settings.

hold down the memory button, while stopped, after adjusting. it will flash a couple times, and then remember.

Seat back angle is manual, so that one is all on you.

Does it make any difference whether the engine is running or not?
