Default Gauge Pillar Pod

Just wondering if anyone knows of a "good" gauge pod pillar for the C5. I say "good" because I have an Autometer one now that I think looks like crap, IMHO. The stock pillars are covered with a vinyl material, and the Autometer is just hard plastic, so the color and texture is off. To me it seems very obvious that the left and right pillars do not match each other in the car. I've looked and looked and haven't been able to find anything that looks better, so if anyone knows of any, please share. I'm all ears

Thanks,
Adam

I have the Autometer full length 2 gage pod and maybe it's just me, but I can't tell the difference. Yes it's plastic, not vinyl covered, but it looks just like the other one, or at least close enough that I can't tell. I think the fit and finish is fantastic. If yours bothers you, I'd say your best bet would be to take it to a local reputable automotive upholstery shop and ask them to cover it in vinyl to match the stock appearance. Can't cost that much.

Now attachment is another thing. I went through about 3 different types of double sided tape before I finally broke down and drilled a hole for one of the plastic push pins that came with it. It only took one all the way at the top toward the inside - nearly invisible.

Wow, until I read your post, I didn't realize there was a difference.

I agree, I have the full pod also and it looks the same and it is made by Autometer from Summit Racing.
