my 2000 has 108k on it. i bought it with 84k. i put a new factory drivers seat cover, and sill plastic and the car looks like new. no major problems and by way of maintinence these cars dont even need much, so theres not much to overlook. the only suspension parts that went bad were the rear outer tierods. all ball joints are good. as far as the GEN 3 motors, i have a bunch of customers with over 200k miles and we havent even had to remove as much as a valve cover. theyre tremendous drivetrains. id say buy it if it gives you a good vibe. have a trustworthy mechanic look it over good.
C5s are supposed to last 200,000 miles. With this many miles, I doubt there were a lot of small trips, probably mostly highway miles. Those miles are easy.
I have 118,000+ on my 1998, only one oil pressure sensor and one headlight gear had to be replaced. If driven reasonably and maintained, these cars last.
many members have over 100k and are happy with there cars take it to a vette mechanic get it checked out and as always your car cash and choice good luck
As already stated, it all depends on how it was cared for or maintained. If it was tracked or abused and general maintenance was not performed, then walk away. If you know the owner personally and know how well they cared for it, then its just getting broken in. I'm the one that put 310,000 on my '99, gave it away to my son in May and its now over 320,000 and still going nicely.

WOW your dropping alot of coing for a car with that many miles.....Hold off, that car shouldn't be priced any more than 10K, you can find a lot lower mile C5 for that price. DONT buy that car for than price you will find one alot cheaper and alot less miles
140,xx on my 02 coupe right now. I bought her in march 06 with 51k on her.
issues-oil pressure sensor, tire sensor, headlight gear, column lock, and a blown head gasket. I get on her every day. I still love her if you love the car and she checks out good, offer less and take her home, i knew this was my car when i saw it on the web.
There's better deals out there my friend..just be patient...140K?..its only downhill from there...remember..fall in love with the deal just as much as the car! ..Paul
