To the OP, I got a set of General non-runflat tires and a set of hatch vent latches for the hatch on my coupe. Windows down, roof-off road noise is reduced to a level where I can comfortably have a conversation inside the car at 70 mph without yelling and straining to hear.
A road trip to the Gulf coast of Florida with a fiancee 4 months pregnant proved to be pleasant for both of us with these upgrades. Of course, the comparison of "quiet" was with our Toyotas; a 96 Tacoma and a '90 Camry!

Crazy Cowboy is supposed to have a good kit. I have a Z06 which had no sound insulation. A friend suggested Frostking ( Insulation Lite 
), which was put from the seats back and doubled in the storage wells. Outside: the fender well liners were removed and it was placed on the bucket walls and around the gas filler hose. In my case a homemade partition was added and probably 60% of my noise was gone. Funny thing happens however, when on area is eliminated others show up 
Will do the front this winter and then work on what's left. Unfortunately the windows can't be insulated. Good luck to ya and if you're hardheaded, a big percent of the noise can be eliminated.

Crazy Cowboy's kit is excellent. I was originally after heat deruction but the noise reduction from his interior kit was an added plus.
