For those that have the chrome hoops did you installed them yourself and was it a problem. I seen the adheisive that is needed to install them but wanted to know how hard it was to complete?
Before the "glue" sets up double check the clearance between the toneau cover (I think you have a convertible?) The clearance is tight, as is the rear window when raising/lowering the top. The trim rings are from the plumbing dept at Lowe's

I used the adhesive and also screwed them in. My mod shop said not to worry, however they still hit the carbon cannister which caused a vapor leak in the gas tank. Ugh.
Got it fixed, added a rubber ring around the base similar to the earlier Lowes solution. They look great, however the most difficult part is cutting the carpet around the hoops. You might want a pro or experienced carpet installer help out.
