im considering a DTE brace for the extra strength i can get from it, i don't go to the strip much, i street race here and there, is it worth the money, or is it worth it if you auto X or drag the car?

You could never prove it kept anything from breaking. I just know when I dumped the clutch at 6500 rpm (typical runs) and I gernaded my ring and pinion..my case held and only cracked the side cover. I wouldn't run without the DTE Brace !!! I think it rocks !!
i hope to auto X the car this summer so i'm probably going to get it anyways but i just wanted to ask i looks like it would help a lot and if its for extra security im all about it!
I have wheel hop issues, I put the brace on when I did the clutch. I think it made the wheel hop worse, possibly because of more weight back there. I'm thinking of taking it off to see if anything changes.
I got mine from ECS, they were a lil bit cheaper than everywhere else I looked and they gave me a Military discount on the shipping, great customer service The brace has nothing to do with increasing wheelhop......
While I do think they help protect the trans if the diff blows, I was told (by the manufacturer) that they do not help keep the diff together. So, yes they help keep your trans a little safer. I elected to spend the money on replacing both output shafts instead of just the usual long one and the brace.
Two of the best things you can do to protect things at the drag strip:
1. Driver mod
2. Taller tire/shorter rim (more sidewall)
