Love this forum. My 2004 vette's A/C was acting up with the air flow. The clock needed reset often. Suddenly the odometer was showing every time I started the car. It seemed to crank ok, but not great; and the volts in the battery showed to be around 13 volts. Too many of these warnings were noted in the forum however, so I went to O'Reilly with the battery. Dead cell, new battery, and I hope all is well. Reading this forum is good for the soul and the vette. With forum info I have also rebuilt the headlight gearing with no trouble. Just wanted to say thanks for all of the valuable information.

When I joined this forum going on six years ago, I thought I knew a fair amount about Corvettes. It became painfully obvious in very short order that I was a mere novice and really knew very little, specifically on the C5. There were some guys here that have since moved on to either a C6 or simply left that really were sharp. There are a few left.
I count my lucky stars to have been around then, and I tried to learn as much as I could from them. To this day, my knowledge pales by comparison. Hang around, be like a sponge and try to learn as much as you possibly can - the knowledge only enhances the ownership experience.
I'm glad you were able to fix some things yourself - which is an example of the enhanced ownership experience to which I referred.

Great that the fix was so easy. And you're right, there is a ton of good info here on the forum and thankfully, many people willing to share their knowledge.
