I am looking to purchase a 1998 vette. In driving one today I noticed on both seats that they seem to slide about 1/2 when taking off or slowing down. What could be causing this?
There also was alittle bit of vibration with the clutch.
Just looking for some insight since this will possibly be my 1st vette purchase.

It's called the rocking seat syndrome. There have been a number of posts here on the forum with fixes for it. It is something you can probably do yourself if the car is one your really want, but I'd negotiate a lower price to compensate for it. Otherwise, keep searching - there are plenty of C5s out there for sale and many do not have that problem.
If you decide that is the car for you, I have some Word files that explains the repair procedure. PM me your e-mail address and I'd be glad to forward a copy to you. I'm away from home right now and won't be back until Tuesday evening so keep that in mind if you do request the files.
