Default Coilover Install Thread Documented...

This past weekend we installed PFADT coilovers on JohnCBourg's INSANE Z06...

Here is Shagster (Neil) measuring the car so we know where to set it back to once the coilovers are installed...

Here are the coilovers:

We started on the rear of the car...

Getting ready to pull the rear leaf spring out...

Neil pulling the rear shock out...

Here is a shot of the leaf spring and shock out, ready for coilover to go in...

Here is the rear coilover installed...

Now on to the front, here is the front before..

The hardest part I would say was getting the front leaf spring out..

Leaf spring and shock out of the way, ready for front coilover..

Front coilover in..

Here are shots of the car after all 4 coilovers are in and before we adjusted the car back down to the ground..

Here is the car before we adjusted it. Neil took it for a test drive to make sure nothing fell off...

Here is Neil measuring the height and figuring out how much we need to bring it down back to where John wants it..

Here is the car all slammered....

All in all.... like Neil said it would only take 20 minutes a side....

Nice write up with images...better than anything I've read in magazines.

One question...the manner in which the measurements were taken for original height seems to be contrary to what's been suggested by some.

They suggest measuring at points from the control arms or frame...
