Default c-5 experts

Hi Guys,
I am going to add a c-5 to my collection over the next month or so.
I currently have a 74 stingray and will use the c-5 for my daily driver.
( I have a honda civic as my company car , enough said about that............ )
I am looking for one between 2002-2004. The pricing that I have been seeing are unbelievable. $20K range for z06's and lower for coupes.
and most are low mileage beauty's. AS you know once you start looking , it gets confusing with the different options and packages.

I want to get the most for my money, What options should I be looking for?
HUD, suspension packages?

What I am asking is what options are a must have?

For me the "Must Haves" started and ended with the 6 speed and convertible.

Everything else fell under the "Nice to Have" category.

Wound up with just about everything except the CD changer and adjustable suspension.

For me it was 6 speed, HUD and targa. I got one with everything but adjustable suspension. Mine has Z51.

I started looking for a vert, but when I saw the amount of luggage space in the coupe, I changed my mind. My wife and I like to travel and play golf and I have room for everything.

Good luck with the search and post pics when you get it.

Default c-5

I agree, the golf clubs room is important.I also want a targa. I guess it would pay to keep a list of the things Im loking for in this car to make sure I dont lose my focus when I see a nice car.
Good Stuff guys Thanks

Pics will follow..........

Don't let that stuff scare you if you find a well maintain car you won't run into three quarters of those problems. There are guys on this forum that have well over 100,000 and had little problems with the cars they have. Just enjoy it.

Just get the Z06 and you will have nothing to worry about!

If you are going to get an A4 try to get one with the Performance rear axle 3.15's! It will have the G92 number in the glove box spec sheet

Most C5's are at the very least moddified with a few bolt on's, so ask what you might want to install as bolt ons and you will probably find one ready to go, so you can do some more serious mods later - Ohhh yes you will

All you have to do is throw a few parts at these LS motors and they return it with a huge thank you

Thanks,Matt

Good luck on your search but bare in mind you mentioned you wanted a Targa top and the Z06 is a fixed roof.

Default roof

I would sacrafice the targa for the z06. I have t's on my c-3 so I would have the best of both worlds,
I am amazed at the pricing I have seen.Do you guys think they will continue to drop or is this the bottom?

The only place I have seen giving away their C5's is on this forum. If you go to a lot you will find much different pricing.

As a to buying a ZO6 I would never buy one used because the only thing you do with that car is drive it hard.......DUCKING Quickly.....

Default z06

good point on the z06. I will keep that in mind.
I have seen a lot of c-5's on autotrader within 100 miles of my house for 22k and down, There were 4 - 2004 coupes, with low mileage for 22K

Not to bad
