inoperative air flow control

inoperative air flow control
C5 owners. My air flow control hasnt worked for several months. Had it to dealership and seems I have had a leaky battery. Vacuum control and computer are right under battery compartment. When the battery was removed we found the acid leaked down and ate holes in the vacuum line which was replaced and problem solved. If I had let it go any longer it could have done much more damage as computer and vacuum are under the battery plate. Point is that the battery may look great from the top but should be checked periodically i guess for leaks on the bottom also.
