Buckwheat: The red strip and the word "corvette" were all hand painted. The black and red on the center caps were sprayed. The wheel itself was powered coated.
Vinny T: I think you misread my previous post. I did not buy the rims already done up. I bought a old set of silver painted rims and redid them as posted. (See explanation above.)
I bought a set (4) of painted wagon wheels for $100. Sent them off to be powder coated for $200. Had the caps painted black and had the accent rings and the word "CORVETT" done in red for another $200. Oh, R&R the wheels and the sensors all for $100. Total cost:$600.
(Those are NAPA crossed drilled and sloted rotors - about $400 [4])
I have a set of Gold Powdercoated (on a dark blue metalic 99 Vert). I like the red trim script on yours is that a graphic? How was the strip done on the lip of the wheel? I had thought of the strip on the lip but handn't seen it done. They look great!
