Default Tint pricing.

What have most of you paid to get your windows tinted? I just called someone and they quoted me $250.00. Sounds a bit high to me, but I don't know much about window tinting.

**Update**
I got 20% all around. One piece on the hatch and the dot matrix was conquered!

I'd say the average is about $175-$225. $250 is a bit high, but not too out of line if they do a perfect job.

Sounds decent if you have a coupe. The rear hatch is a BITCH! Even the side windows are tough, i couldn't even get those myself because of their strange curve. I paid 225 to have my coupe done and they did it perfect. Very happy with the job. They took the side windows right to the edge where they normally leave a little gap so that was nice. Also they did the rear hatch in 3 pieces and hide the cuts on the defroster lines so you'd have no idea, its perfect. They informed me that the sides had to be shrunk to be applied and each of the 3 rear hatch pieces had to be shrunk as well. Just a heads up on whats involved. That price isn't too bad IMO. Usually you will get what you pay for

Sounds about right for my area. Depends on how good of a job they do on the back window, that can be a real pain in the butt and a lot of guys screw it up!

The quotes that I recieved on mine were anywhere from $175-225. Pays to check not only price, but references on the quality of the job.

John, shoot me a pm with a price of what it would cost to have you guys strip the upper part of my rear hatch where the bubbles are, and paint it flat black so it looks a little better. BTW, I paid $180 for my tint with a lifetime warranty. Everything came out great except the dot matrix. If I had to do it over, I would have had them not tint the very top and either paint it or add vinyl.

Just make sure they use a good quality tint like 3M.
