Does anyone know anything about these hoods? Like where the water will go if i get caught in the rain or just washing it. Corvette race bodies makes the hood. I was looking at Louvered Air Extractor Hood and ACP Magna-Extractor Hood. Thanks guys.
I have the Magna Extractor. Believe it or not very little water actually gets in the engine. Mine stays cleaner now after having the extractors than it did with the stock hood. The little drops that do get in usually evaporate without leaving a spot.
^^I have the hood above and no issues at all with water, let's see our Vettes are low and you get more water in the engine bat driving in a storm than you would believe

As far as the rain water......What do you guys do when the car is outdoors and parked in the rain. I drive my car a lot in the rain and just wondering, if I'm at a roadcourse and there isn't any cover available between sessions, or at night in the hotel parking lot, or at a restraunt etc...?
I have the ACP one and love it. The water runs dn the wheel wells on the side vents and dn in front of the motor in the center opening, not near any wiring or too close to the air filter. Because of the aero dynamics no water gets in while moving. I'm a bit more careful when washing avoiding spraying water directly into the vents. The hood works great for extracting heat. You can see the heat waves just pouring out of the vents
