how difficult is it to remove the emblem on a corvette and what is involved in the process? i know typically you can use a hair dryer but i wasn't sure if doing that would have any adverse effects on the composite material the body panels are made of.

thanks

Just did it myself using a heat gun and heavy fishing string. Then used adhesive remover. Everything turned out great

warmed mine up with blow dryer then used fishing line,6lb test and sort of sawed at it after about half way it will just pull off slowly.used finger to rub off excess glue took only about 10 min. Then polished looks great, cant decide if I want to put it back on or not.

Hair dryer and fishing line will work just fine. Just remember that the front emblem has two pins that go down into the front fascia.

If you remove the front emblem you'll need to fill in the hole.

Hair Dryer or heat gun will do and use some fishing line to run behind it when it is warm and it'll come right off!

A little WD-40 on a cloth and the rest will rub off then some wax and all good

Thanks,Matt

thanks for the replies, i was hoping it would be that easy. the previous owner put acrylic corvette lettering on the rear fascia as well as additional flag emblems on the sail panel (i think that is what its called); that is what i am hoping to get off. i wanted to make sure i could remove them safely and relatively easily before i purchase the vehicle.
