car actually rides smoother, and at the same time is more responsive and handles better. all my other suspension parts are stock (ie: leaf springs, etc)
one question.. my front now sits about 3/4 inch higher than before. the rear is the same exact as before. any ideas why? only thing i can think about is that the old shocks were bad (when you compress them by hand, they dont pop back up) so it was sitting lower before due to bad shocks.. but if that is the case, why isnt the same true for the rears (why isnt the rear sitting higher now)?
I have the f45 also and will be putting in bilstein sports i picked up here on the forum going to try the resistor trick hope to do in the next week.
You should swap out the sway bars also.

any advice is appreciated, thanks!
The front shocks usually take a lot more abuse then the rears, this holds true for brake pads and any other front components. Your fronts were definitely shot if they did not rebound back up. Mine were the same way when I replaced all four of mine. What a difference in ride. Did you push the rears down the same as the front? Did they also not come back out?

They are very easy to change. A trick though is to wire the shocks after you compress them a little. That will make them much easier to fit into place and bolt up. There are only 3-4 bolts/nuts per shock. Very simple. If you can change a tire you can change your own shocks. Good Luck... Rob
i just got back from a 600 mile trip.. and the car still sits the same. im 100% sure it wont settle, since the shocks i purchased already had 10k on them

I put Z06 shocks and sway bars on my '98 a few years ago. If I remember correctly, it took a couple of days to settle, but after 600 miles it should have settled by now.
