Cheap Shifter -- Upgrade?
Anybody ever try one of these? A good price if they are a quality part...

Instructions shouldn't be an issue. Four 1/4-20 bolts and any shifter can be removed. General instructions can be found with search in C5 Tech.
I'd be more suspicious about what country they're made in and what scrap metal was used in their manufacture. Or, the tolerances that a 12 year old in a Chinese plant machined into the parts.
I do think you'll realize you got exactly what you paid for it.
I often wonder about the posts that someone says their "short shifter" isn't working right with whatever symptoms if they're referring to one of the EBAY shifters or using the terms generically...

Looks kinda cheap to me.
I got a 06 Z06 shifter without a **** for my 1998 from a forum member
in the parts for sale C6 section a few months ago for $45.00
and I really like the upgrade, much better than stock. Keep checking
in there maybe you'll get lucky.
