After about a million hours of research and a bunch of awesome advice from you guys here on the forum, I finally decided not to track the Z06 and to keep it as a daily driver/show car. My new track car was dropped off yesterday and it is a beast! There is still some work that needs to be done (like seats obviously) but it will be ready to bring to the track once the weather warms up. Thanks to Jeff for an awesome buying experience
In the meantime, Jeff made up an awesome seat. It doesn't have a lot of lateral support in those high g turns
I'm not sure what it is other than a big P.O.S. It's a 71 with SS badges but I have no idea whether it actually is or not. The story I got is that owner knows nothing about cars and wanted to buy a muscle car. This is what he showed up with. I don't know who built it, but it is unbelievable. There are wires everywhere not connected to anything. Nothing in the dash works except the tach. I've never had a chance to look at it with too much detail but the engine just sounds bad. The only bright spot is that the body actually seems pretty decent.

Too bad. Well, he can keep pretending as long he only shares photos of it from across the street
