Default Oil pressure question

My oil pressure reads 39lbs at idle and up to 80psi at 4800rpm.. This is on my 02 z06 44k miles.. I know about the crappy sending units.. I had one replaced at 40k on my 99 c5.. Usually when they go out they peg 80psi and on the DIC pressure reads even higher.. like around 130psi.. Any suggestions... I just had a mobil 1 5w-30 oil change with a mobil 1 oil filter

Cold or warm readings? Big difference.

Doesn't sound like the sensor. I don't what know it is though. What does the DIC read when the gauge reads 80psi? 80psi or more?

That is about the pressures I show when the oil is cold < 100 Deg. When the car gets up to normal operating temp - oil > 150 Deg, I show about 28 PSI at Idle and 45 or so at 4000 RPM. If that reading is fully warmed up then I say you have a sender problem or one that is about to go south.

28-32 psi at idle when the oil is at 210 degrees. 38-42 at 4000rpm when at 210 degrees.
