I was going to go all out and get the new Michelin PS2 ZP's (about $1600) but now I'm considering the Goodyear GS-D3's in a non-runflat(about $1000). My car is a summer fair weather car only.
I'm going to wait until spring and do some vette only shows and look at what people are running and how they look on the car and then make a final decision. At this point though I'm leaning towards the non runflat Goodyears.[/QUOTE]
I put the GY GS D3's on mine when the runflats wore out. They are a great tire and much better than OEM in every way (unless you get a flat). As a bonus, IMO they are the best looking tire as well.
On the downside, availability may be an issue. I had a puncture (slow leak) in the sidewall of one of my rears last April and as of last September, I could not get it replaced. I ran with a plug all last summer as a result. I have since heard that they are available again and I hope to replace it in the spring.

Got to be careful about runflats and who you have mount them too.
Friends of mine had RF's mounted and both of them had their side walls busted, and I mean a big freekin' hole, by the wheel mount machine.
