Default Crossover pipe question

I have some BB rt 66 cats and want to get rid of the drone @1500rpm. I hear a crossover pipe should be added. Is there a difference between the brands? I see the Borla, Corsa, and others ranging in price from $299 to $499. How much difference could there be in the performance to justify the higher price?

Not going to help the drone.

You can pick them up in the parts section for $150 - $200

Peace
Chip

Do you have headers? That may change the velocity and help minimize the drone but as far as get rid of it, I don't know. Maybe someone else can chime in with an experience of correcting this. Mine drones slightly but only at 1200-1350 rpm's. Good luck with finding a cure.

An X pipe should at least cut down on the drone,,might not eliminate it but should make a noticeable reduction. The stock H pipe has only about a dime sized hole in the main pipe sidewall for cross over effect!! Kind of useless for sound and exhaust balance!!Should also reduce the crackle and pop on deceleration!!

It's my experience that Corsa exhaust does a nice job on cutting down on the drone. I think Borlas are awful and, unfortunately, that's what's on the FRC at the moment...lol

I have a corsa and like mine. It really helped the corsa pace car exhaust.

It will take mufflers to fix the drone.
I have Corsa's on my FRC.
Sounds good to me. Not as loud as many. Very nice on the highway.

I had the same exhaust on mine and had the drone and popping when letting off the gas. I installed a Bassani X-pipe and eliminated about 95% of those problems. Plus it made the exhaust sound better. I'd recommend the Bassani for sure.
