Default Clean Condensor and Radiator DIY?

I have the top cover off, but how do you get the slanted front piece off to clean the darn things out?

HELP

That's the way I always did mine. Used a soft bristle brush (like a tooth brush) and gently cleaned the junk out of the radiator fins.

.........UPDATE

Well I got it reasonably clean and then had the hardest time re-attaching the condensor back to the radiator. In the process I pull out the two plastic bayonete fasteners that hold the front shroud on. No way to reconnect them without a total dis-assembly. It does not seem imperative that these be connected as they just hold things together a bit better.

Really the only thing holding the condensor and radiator in the correct position in the top cover and its four bolts. I never realized just how delicately that is all put together.

Anyway, bottom line, take your time, understand your limitations and take your time!

You can also spray the Rad. and AC cond. with a garden hose from the engine side and blow out lots of trash and grit.

I did it from under the front end and I used a narrow bathroom brush and a vacume to clean the sides and the top. Worked very well.

I have used all of the earlier mentioned procedures.

The reason I got a bit more aggressive this time, is that when I removed the upper support and looked between the condensor and the radiator, I could not believe the amount of grass and very small stuff protruding from both coolers. The debris at the top is an easy fix, and that I had taken care of many times. The screen I have has really been a good thing, but when I saw what was left, I had to go further.

If you have a compressor this is an easy job... I wash everything using the force of a garden hose pushing from the engine side toward the front of the car. then I use an extension blow pipe that has a small 45* angle tip ... I blow all the water out of the radiator fins and then then put the blow pipe down between the radiator and the condenser.. there is just enough room to get the blow pipe in and the tip and you can reverse blow everything from top to bottom. I put the compressor on 80 psi.
