Help on a 2000 Corvette Convertible's value
- Newer is always better
- Having said that, great condition and maintenance with all records trumps year and mileage
- 2001=>2004 have a 5 more peak HP (350 vs. 345) and are measurably torquier throughout the rev range (peaking @ 375 vs. 350 ft. lbs.) vs. the 1997=>2000
- Automatic is pretty much as quick as stick; but if you want a stick, don't settle for automatic as it will always bug you
- Google "C5 1/4 mile" and you should get at least 10 credible hits
- A couple very easy (but not that cheap) bolt-ons will get pre-2001 HP past stock 2001=>2004 HP and probably similar torque
- If you can find a nice one with a good intake (e.g. Callaway Honker), a decent tune and a nice catback (esp. Corsa) you will enjoy noticeably more punch than stock and your "premium" won't be anywhere near what these mods cost the person who installed them

Good luck -- now's a GREAT time to be a buyer...
