I'm interested in some feedback. I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy a 2001 (C5) vette next week. It's in great shape. Speedway white with a Tan interior. I'm gonna drive this car. I'm buying it to drive to work and play on the weekends. Of course not all the time, but much more than most.
Now that I'm down the to the final days, I'm interested in some of your opinions and thoughts.
1) What is your favorite Stock color of the C5 years?
2) What is your favorite practical color?
**This pertains to daily usage and not showing road dirt. Like this.. "I Love Black cars and have a Black Dually Silverado. You can't keep the thing clean." **
3) Please share insight to different colors showing blemishes.
I like the navy blue, black, and the metallic purple. For daily use, I also like an automatic. But, that is just me. I don't want to shift all the time in traffic. That being said, for an auto, I like the perf. axle. I am also a fan of HUD units. I wish I would have gotten the cd changer as well, as keeping even a few cds fills up the center console. I also am a big coupe fan. You get the open air, and I cna pack for a full weekend and take my two small dogs (kennel of cours, they don't roam free in there) with me. Couldn't do that in a vert or z06. But, again, depends on what you are going to use the car for, and it is your car. What opinnions I have, or what opinnions others have do not amount to anything. Get the car, have a great time, and welcome to the c5 world!!
Man, color is such a subjective thing. No matter the color combo, some will say "it's awesome" and others will say "ho-hum". My C5 is black and if it was gonna be a daily driver, I probably wouldn't have bought black, as the color is harder to keep clean. Prolly woulda gone silver for DD.
No bright red or yellow for me, I don't like those colors, plus they attract too much attention from Mr. Johnny Law, who might just be looking to fill his ticket quota that day. Of course, if I was a cop myself, then I wouldn't care about bright color as no cop would ever give a ticket to a brother............
When I was looking to buy, I went shopping with the idea of silver with black interior. I ended up with black with red interior. Still not sure if I really like the red interior, but I'm hoping the ladies will like it, lol.

Don't worry about color and the cops, not true. I have been a cop for a long time, and I go buy what the radar says not what color the car is. I have also written other cops tickets before, and even arrested one or two (not cops anymore). Don't buy into the blue line crap that is on TV. We look our for each other in a lot of ways, but we also hold each other accountable. I have also had tickets since I was a cop.

This all sounds very admirable, but do you give YOURSELF a ticket when you speed in your Corvette? Oh, let me guess, you never exceed the posted limit, lol.........
But I'm interested to hear your comments about color. A bright red/yellow car stands out SOOOOO much more than, say, a silver car. I would think the bright red/yellow would instinctively grab your eye, thus the driver of said bright car would be more likely to get a ticket.
