hello yes i have a 2002 zo6 with 3000 miles on it and im getting back wheel hop really bad in first gear.i had a 2003 zo6 with 6000 miles on it in 2004 thru 2006 and i never had this problem running the same tires and same 30psi in the tires ,has anybody else had or have this problem
Cold weather seems to have an effect as well, or so I've noticed. Tho with you being in Florida, that may not be the case unless you've had cooler weather recently. It seems like for me that if it's below 50 degrees out that I can get wheel hop. It also depends on the condition and age of tires and pavement. I have PS2's that are 15 months old. And I've heard switching shocks helps some people.
My '03 does it also. I've heard GM re-valved the rear shocks on the '04 Z06 for a handling issue. NeoZ06 has an '04 and doesn't have the problem. I wonder if a set of '04 shocks would help the problem.
wasn't ESC selling a transmission/diff brace for about 399 that was sure to cure the problem??
I have the same issue in an 02 Z which I have not addressed

ECS does sell a trans/dif brace but don't think it prevents wheel hop. I believe it only helps hold things together mechanically.
I heard that when you send power to the drivetrain of these cars the suspension loads up and deflection is the cause of hop.Pfadt sells a bushing kit for under 300 bucks that should help.

I have an 04 and I get this issue from time to time as well. Its hit or miss, sometimes they just spin and sometimes I get the hopping issue. Im running Firestone Wide Ovals with roughly 10k miles on them.
