Okay I have read a number of threads on putting fog lights on the z06. I found the gm part numbers and also the piaa everyone likes which will need brackets made if I go piaa. But if I go stock, where do you get the wiring harness at because I can't find that at all.
If you decide to go with the PIAA's, purchase them from www.litewarehouse.com. They also have brackets to mount the lights to the stock location and PIAA's have a usable wiring harness. Also pick up the GM factory foglight switch, it makes the install much easier and work like stock.
I've installed driving lights and have a OEM GM Switch #12135155, but I'm not sure how to take the three wires off the switch that came with the driving lights and tie it into the above-cited switch. I haven't looked at the back of the trunk release to see what that "jack/plug" looks likes so I'm not sure if it will accomodate the wires from the after market switch and allow me to tie into the 8-prong jack/plug at the back of the new dual light/trunk lid switch. Can you give me some guidance?
