Since I didn’t own a DSLR before this one, I really don't really have anything to compare it with except my 'Powershot S5IS'. You can just imagine the over whelming difference between those two!...I have previously owned a couple of Canon SLR’s way back in the 35mm days (20 yrs. ago) but never really got very serious with the hobby.
Not sure what you are using now but this '5DMKII' is most defiantly an impressive piece of equipment...
The full frame high-resolution sensor with extended noise reduction, ISO range of 100-6400, (extendable up to 12,800 and 25,600) is remarkable. Add to that its high speeds and first-in-class 'Hi-Def' video capabilities adds up to an amazing camera!....
