I've used the Twilight Sentinel for awhile. The last few weeks it has been somewhat less than responsive. This morning, my headlights went on but now they won't drop. They will turn off, but the doors won't go down. I turned off TS and they still remain up (with lights off).

Any ideas?
Try turning on your high beams, then turn off your lights.
Do you have stock-like bulbs or HIDs? What happens if you turn you're high beams on with the switch turned off? I think I remember reading somewhere that the lids would stay up because of an electrical issue.
It worked! I turned on the high-beams and the doors dropped!!!
NOW...WTF happened? Can anyone explain this? Does this mean my TS is non-functional or was this just a "glitch" in the electrical system (kind of like a reboot on a PC).

Where's Bill Curlee?
What wrong with me ??? My solution worked.
You probably have HID's installed or some other type of resistance problem, that signaling the PCM that the lights are still on even though they are not and that's why they won't close.
Absolutely. What I meant was that Curlee should see this and add it to his bag of tricks
I do not have HID's. I DO have Halogen Euro Export lights which use a separate H4 Halogen Bulb.
Off to read that spec...and thanks ajg and knyght4
EDIT: In reading the spec, I figured out what happened. The halogen H4 bulbs have dual filaments, one for low and one for high beam. At first, the low beam blew out, but the high beam filament was still there, so the system sensed a "load" and was able to close the doors. When the high beam blew out, the circuit was completely open and the system couldn't sense this load. Apparently, hitting the high beams resets the circuit. Anyway...new bulbs on order.

Glad you got it figured out, so much technical stuff to turn on and off your headlights.
That why I went with fixed headlights, no motor or other moving parts to go wrong.
