So i have done a lot of work to the car so far this winter and it was pretty nice out the last few days so i have been driving it. The ex called me up and wanted to meet up and talk, so i grabbed up the car and picked her up from college and we drove up to a lookout point where you can see the whole town pretty well. i had about an hour before i had to take her back before the next class started. We talk for a bit then i go to start the car. I hear the starter "Trying" to work but no joy DEAD battery and 20 minutes until she has to be back... i keep trying and it starts!!! but no it does the move 5 feet and die thing, not sure if its a distance or a speed thing where the computer kills it... So have to call up my buddie that drives a $500 Nissan Sentra for help and boy did i get to hear about it... Got her back to class 15 minutes late and had to buy a new Red top Optima... And breakfast for the buddie in the Sentra for the help...

The "Ex-Factor" strikes again! Perhaps your Vette was jealous!
Rule... If you live in pacific northwest and can't store it you shouldn't have it IMHO. I waited until I could afford it and DD (SUV). I know i know... But really I don't think you should drive a vette in the cold.... I love my vette too much.

you assume because of my age that i cant afford a DD, im 24 Paid cash for the Vette 2 years ago and i also OWN a 2001 Jeep Wrangler... i enjoy driving my car and wanted to treat my self... btw im in Wenatchee and it has been above 40 for the last week, the roads are fine and the weather is great and i have a garage...
Relax buddy.... I am not one to assume. I don't know why anyone would take their baby out in the harsh weather thats all. If it suits you thats cool but I wouldn't do it.

Chill out guys(literally and figuratively) It's a car,,it wont freeze or melt!!! I like the op will drive mine anytime the streets are clear and not covered with slush snow or salt. Fortunately we've had almost NO snow so far,,so mine gets out on a regular basis!! It's been to about 4 or 5 test and tune nights at the strip as well. I maintain her like a princess,,but she gets driven a lot. Drive on TrippleBlack!!! PS wouldn't it "BUMP START"??
