Default caravaggio problems?

has anyone had any problems with caravaggio lately? i ordered a rear spoiler from them right before x-mas and have been in contact with john the entire time. he told me it shipped out early last week and i would have it by this past monday. since monday i have been bugging him for a tracking number with no results. i call him today and he gives me one along with a lenghty story about a tax id number issue (don't know why) and low and behold the number is bogus. there is another forum member having the same issue. i realy want the spoiler but am realy gettin tired of the whole situation.

I've spent thousands with Caravaggio and never had a concern. If John said it is on its way then it is.

He ships I think with different couriers depending on your location so it could be a correct tracking number but maybe wrong shipper you have been given to track through.

Only problem I have with Caravaggio is that I don't own anything from them (wish I did). There's got to be a logical explanation. Keep on bothering the guy. You know they value our business....do they?

Never ordered anything from Caravaggio but could it possibly be because of customs issues? I sent a package into Canada and what normally takes about one week shipping turned into 3 weeks because of Customs. But then again this is from Canada coming into the US.

I know John's had issues in the past with customs messing up shipping. The tax issue is a real one too, all because of customs. I don't remember exactly what it was. Fortunately for myself, when I purchased my spoilers from him, the shipping delays were minimal. He will get it straightened out, you will get your parts. Customs problems are random and beyond his control.

I'm waiting on an order of some Caravaggio goodies myself that I've had ordered for awhile and I DO KNOW that John will get them to me as soon as possible.

Although I know it's hard to do, just be patient and the wait will be quite worthwhile

I ship alot of items from here in Canada to the US. The hang up is, lateley when shipping if you de-value the item (ie write that the item is worth $150 while it is worth $500) customs will hold the item and investigate the transaction. I have sent some items that have gone to the border and benn held for 2 weeks then returned to me. It does not happen often, maybe 1 out of 50 items, but it does happen and it can be a pain!!

i just tried using the number he gave me and it still is not valid. i just dont understand if it has shipped what is so hard about giving me a valid number? why tell me it will be here at a certain date if he was having problems? why not return phone calls/emails? guys, ill be honest i just don't want to get screwed. i have seen it many times over on tech where established companies with great reputations start doing stuff like this and before you know it they owe alot of people alot of money. im not saying this is what is going on but its kind of hard to trust someone you have never done business with and never returns your calls.

I've ordered a half dozen items from John and though true he has sometime been difficult to get hold of, I have never been disappointed. I started adding a couple of weeks to my expected receive date and was never disappointed. All the reasons above and the fact that the man is just downright busy explain your situation. I'd rather he be in the shop working on orders that at his desk (just my take). Be patient- there is little to no risk that you won't receive your shipment, just a little more complicated to deal with. Hard to beat the quality of the product, that's for sure

I know from past experience it does take awhile. I got a call from the shipping hub at the border that wanted my social security number. Said it could not be brought into the country without. I did get the part but they don't make it easy. That had nothing to do with Caravaggio. Just a different world we live in.

< has a Caravaggio Hood and love it, I bought it from them and it took a little longer then I expected but never had any issue(s) with John or the company, great product(s) too, loved the rave seats too that I just only recently sold to lower the overall selling price of my Z.

I'd say try a different approach, see if someone in their area can get a hold of him/them and get a answer, probably just something came up, who knows.

Hope all ends well, just thought I'd through in my two cents worth since I have ordered from the same company.

Everyones going through it right now.
Weather, Christmas, New Year, they are all factors.
I ordered items from Matt @ Vette Essentials early December and they are being shipped Friday.
It's a good sign if you think about it, everyone is keeping busy!

I think it was about 22 days or so, but you know I am also in the south eastern United States, and you are in the same country originally shipped from.
