Two good reasons to keep my C5! Menacing? I LIKE menacing!

I've driven a C6, they are nice, I love that Cyber Gray color, but right now going to keep the C5.

Hell most people around here think its an 09.

C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 they are all Corvettes its just up to you as to which you want.

If this were OT I'd swear it was a parody..

6/10!

I was just getting ready to post this same comment, but then in reading the thread I see you already did.

You know people say "you sit in a C4, and you wear a C4"

And it's true. Sitting in a C4 feels like you're sliding into a snug body glove.

I liken this comparison (as far as styling anyway) to my rodding days as a '32 guy. The 1932 Fords made great rods, and were a cut above most. The '33-'34 cars also made a great rod, and were also a cut above the rest. I just stayed a '32 guy because I knew them and liked them just fine. As far as the mechanics of the two gens(C5-C6), I've heard the C6 car referred to as a "C5.5". I myself am looking for a second C5 to mod in the manner of the Wife's taste. One's not any better than the other one, just a bit "different".

Now if you're talkin' C6 ZR1? Now that's a very different animal altogether.

I too remember this from the C4 to C5 days. I love my Z06 but it does not have nearly the cockpit feel that my 94 C4 had. I really miss the orientation feel of that car.

It's funny that we dis the refinements of the C6 yet we complain about the lack of refinements of the C4. I guess the bottom line is we like most what we drive.

I feel like that when I get into my C5, but I do like having a nice new C6 to motor around in daily and you can not go wrong with either generation

I feel ya O/P. I had an 02 coupe and a telephone pole jumped out in front of me (actually was run off the road intentionally). Had cash in hand for an '08 coupe (not wise). I love the looks of the C6 exterior but just didn't feel it on the power (don't know why but just didn't feel the same). Went and bought an 03 ZO6. I even had permission from the wife and she was pushing for a new one and I still went and got the Z.
My experience is not based off of scientific data just seat of the pants fun.

Yea I can agree with the just well different opinions but just for the record all the electronic gadgets in a C6 would drive me nuts I hate computers and smart phones ahhhh gives me a headache not typical of a teenager .... I do however love the back of the C6 looks like a fighter jet. and of course all vettes are great as long as I am in a vette I have a smile on my face

Isn't it the case that the majority of people who own a Vette own a C5 and subcontiously just don't want to like the C6 and admit to it being better than their beloved C5.

the c6 has more power. I like that
the c6 rides better. I like that too.

But I love the look of the C-5. To me they will never make a car that looks this good. I never really liked the C3s or C4 either. But the C-5 will always turn me on. That's why I had to have my second one.

I like the exterior of the C5 more, but I like the interior, engine etc of the C6. However the C6 Z is a whole different story. The base C6 looks too boring and too production and there isn't much detail, the C6Z gives it the detail though with the hood, the flared fenders, GFX etc.

Looks of a C5 stunning.... I like the C6 but the rear end would take me awhile to like... just too short! I think the style of the C5 is much nicer and the C6 looks to butchered up for me? Not saying I wouldn't take one, just not crazy about them!
