Need key fob help please????
Ok I have the dreaded 2000 key fob loss of memory issue and I need some help please. I know that the remotes are different in 2000 from the rest of the C5s and they are really expensive. I am currently just using my key to get in my car which is not bad but would be nice to be able to use the remote keyless entry since I have it. If anyone can explain this situation to me please and also if someone has one for sale for around $50 or $60 I really need one badly!! Please let me know if anyone can help me out in any way. Thanks in advance for you guys help.

Yes it did work but the battery went dead about 3 months ago and after i changed it and I did the LOCK+UNLOCK syncing it would lose the programming. I have tried going through the DIC programming also but it still loses its programming.

I continue to struggle with this with my 2000. It has been getting worse and worse after continual resynchs. I was to the point a few weeks ago where I thought my only answer was to buy a new FOB. But then I tried adding a new $5 battery from RadioShack and its working again (atleast for now)

Don't waste your time with a used one, you already know what happens after 8 years. Gene Culley has them advertised new for $59. Click on the link on the left for gmpartshouse.com and search Corvette parts. Only order the one for the 2000. The 98/99 will work, but have a passive feature you can't use, plus they cost more. Better still, here's the link.
