Please help with ipod2car installation trouble

I'm trying to install this ipod2car setup in my '99 FRC but nothing is coming through the speakers from the ipod. I know they are communicating because my head unit shows the CD icon(car has no cd player) and when I push the AUX button, the ipod lights up, when I press the seek button the ipod goes to the next track. Radio and tape player functions work fine.

There is a lot of nitrous/line-lock wiring by the shifter, don't let that intimidate you.

Had same problem. Push the number 5, like you're changing to next disc. Worked for me.

Oh wait, you don't have the CD changer head unit. Yeah what I mentioned above probably won't work. Sorry.

Try playing a tape for a moment and then shift to the I-POD. I have the same problem once in a while, however I have to play a CD and than shift to my I-POD. You could also try playing the radio and then shifting to I-POD.

sorry dont mean to hijack but first non bose C5 radio i have ever seen I guess they do exist, i have heard some FRC cars came non bose and never believed it

Anybody else have any ideas, or should I try a new strategy, maybe a Harmon/Kardon setup?

Would it be easier to just put in an aftermarket head unit?

aftermarket headunit would be very simple, you DONOT have bose which 99% of vettes have meaning its a simple gm harness, dash kit, and antenna adapter

Yeah, I talked to a car audio place this afternoon, I think that's what I'm going to do.
