I use BMW jacking pads. They used to cost about $6 but they have gone up, about $11 now. You can put them in and leave them in. I've had mine in for about 3 or 4 years. Here's a link

If you need something less thicker than a hockey puck, I would suggest installing rocker rail savers. You would then have a lifting point all along the length of the rockers. Good luck.
