I have the Orignal Goodyears Run-flats on my 98 Coupe. I have pretty much decided in switching to non run-flat's(ride quality/noise, etc) I am looking at going with the Goodyear GS-D3's based on some recommendations from a fellow Corvette owner.
I would like to hear from some off you that have these GS-D3's on their C5's and your experiences and comments(good & bad). I know there are lots of threads on tire recommendations but would stilll love to hear any other comments and/or recommendations for me as I look to switch to new tires. Thanks
I have these on my M3 and man let me tell you that these tires are phenominal. Having driven on Michelin PS2's and Bridgestone Potenza S-O3 PP's, these by far can hold my rear end around cones in the auto x course as good as the PS2's and better than the S-O3's. And they outperform both of these tires in the wet as well if that matters for ya. and they are cheaper than both!
Agree with the comments so far on the GS D3s being quieter and better handling, especially on wet pavement. Disagree with the comment on lower mileage. I got 29K on OEM runflats. The first round of GS D3s gave me 32K on the front and 36K on the rear. All the above reasons are why I went with them again.
I went to the GY GS-D3s and find them night and day better than the oem runflats. FYI: They are a summer tire not all season. They are not recommended for below freezing temps due to different rubber compound. As far as mileage I can't really say.

If I didn't need the all-season capability of the Michelin A/S ZPs, I would go for GS-D3s. In fact, I would have had them when I was in still in Texas if they weren't out of stock at the time.

I agree with the performance and other handling aspects mentioned here, but after 24k, they were slick. I do NOT spin my tires and do not abuse them. I live in the southeast, so no harsh weather. Great feel, but not enough wear. I have switched to BFG G-Force, one size larger and 2 sizes wider and am VERY happy with them so far, and seems to be wearing much better, with similar performance.
I made the move to new wheels and tires in December. I had been looking at the D3's but wanted to go with Z06 sizes. I like the tread-pattern and how it sets off the car. The only complaint I had found is that they became quite noisy after 10K or so. After wanting to dump the RF's for noise and bump-steer, I did not want noise if I could avoid it.
I used the Tire Rack survey and reviews for my decision and I decided on the Firestone Wide Ovals. I don't have many miles on them right now, but the initial difference was indescribable.
