It might help if you clarify if this jack is intended for home/shop use or in the trunk/on the road...

If your car is lowered you'll want a low profile jack, but if it's the stock height (like mine is) just about any floor jack will do. I've got 2 floor jacks, a Craftsman 3 ton, and a 1 1/2 ton aluminum low profile "racing jack" from Harbor Freight, it's the blue anodized light weight one. The harbor freight one is the one I use the most be. Mostly because the Craftsman 3 ton jack weighs a ton and its not as easy to move around.

Well, you'll have problems in front no matter the jack. Many guys here drive up on home-made ramps, made from 2x10's. I'll look for some pics.......
Here's some drive-up ramps, to prepare for jacking:

I have the $49.95 low profile from Sears. Fits under car without boards and can still use jacking pucks. Small enough to carry in trunk for track days.

I have been using the Craftsman 1.5 ton aluminum jack - has worked fine for me and it fit easily under the car with the jacking pucks in place.

Any floor jack with the right puck will work as long as it's a low profile.

I used this jack on occasion (maybe 10 times?) for about a year before it started pouring oil. Maybe I just got lucky, but I'll try something else next time.
